Triple Cities Makerspace is pleased to announce that we will be having a media digitizing day. This is a free event that is open to the public. Bring your old media and we will make a digital copy that you can take with you. We will be digitizing photos, unbound paper documents, camera negatives, VHS tapes, audio tapes, floppies, 8-tracks, records, and reel to reel audio tapes. Take old family photos, vintage music, home movies, and preserve them with a digital copy that is accessible on your computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Triple Cities Makerspace is offering a free into to Arduino class on 5-31-2014 from 3:30PM-5:30 PM. This class will cover the basics of programming Arduinos as well as an introduction to the platform and design ethos.
Students will learn on the Paperduino and will leave with their own Paperduino. More info on the Paperduino can be found here: http://lab.guilhermemartins.net/2009/05/06/paperduino-prints/
Space is limited and a ticket is required for entry.
Just a reminder there is a business meeting this Tuesday 4/8/2014 at 7PM sharp.
It’s Friday night at the space, clearly that means its time to work on projects, clean, and of course, update all the computers!
Thanks to everyone that showed up at our weekly 3D printer night. The smoke is not from the 3D printers, someone donated smoke machines and we couldn’t resist playing with them.
Our next learn to weld class will be on 5-24-2014 from 2:00 pm – 5:00pm. Tickets are available on Eventbrite at the link below.
